The structure tree of the article

The structure tree of the article

After a new article has been created, the structure tree of the article is presented as follows:

The principle

The tree enables you to manage the structure of your article.
The text is given a final once over from top to bottom. To edit a text, double click on its knot in the tree.
The texts placed in a selection of options are chosen « at random » among other texts placed at the same level in the same selection of options.
There may be two levels in the selection of options.
You may deactivate a knot of the tree by checking the boxes, causing the texts concerned to therefore be ignored in the final processing.
If you deactivate a paragraph or a selection of options, everything contained within it is also ignored in the final processing.

Definitions

An article may comprise one or more paragraphs.
Each paragraph may contain texts or variable sections.
A variable section may contain texts or variable sections, which, in turn, can not contain other variable sections.

A text placed at the beginning of a paragraph is always processed when generating the final article (unless it is deactivated).
A text placed in a variable section is chosen from among the other texts at the same level in its variable section.
You can place as many blocks of text as you please in an optional section.

Editing a text

Double click on its knot in the tree.
Then type the text you want in the text field.

As soon as you click on the tree, it reflects the changes made:

Start of the text can be rolled over in the tree (at the top of the image)

You will note that opposite each text, the column No. of char tells you the number of characters in each text

Modifying the tree

Any modifications you make to the tree impact the generation of the text.
Adding a paragraph

Add a variable section (in the selected knot, if feasible)

Add a text passage (in the selected knot, if feasible)

Move the selection up

Move the selection down

Place the selection in the next folder

Place the selection in the previous folder

Exit the selection folder

Delete the selection

Statistics on the content of the tree

Calculation of the minimum and maximum number of characters in the final text generated.
The calculations do not incorporate the variations arising from equivalents used which were found in the dictionaries.

You can place all the information you think is useful here.
For example, you can note the amount of work you still need to do on the article, the number of variations on the text you have already exported, etc.
